NAR’s latest Consumer Guide, Ten Questions to Ask a Seller’s Agent, provides helpful questions sellers should consider when selecting an agent.

WASHINGTON — Sellers now have a new tool to help them choose their ideal real estate agent. The National Association of Realtors®’ latest Consumer Guide provides 10 essential questions for sellers to ask, aimed at helping them find a Realtor® whose expertise aligns with their needs.

The guide, Ten Questions to Ask a Seller’s Agent, is the 12th in NAR’s series to equip consumers with the tools they need to make informed choices following the practice changes that began Aug. 17. The guide showcases the value of working with a Realtor and includes questions sellers might not initially consider, including the following:

  • How did you arrive at your suggested list price for my home?
  • How will you vet potential buyers?
  • Do you have references I can speak with?

All of the guides can be viewed at the NAR website facts.Realtor or printed as handouts. Most are available in English and Spanish.
